The Reason Behind the Care Shop

Intermission Blog

You’ve seen the Care Shop – maybe you’ve even browsed it, but you might be wondering: Why does it exist? What’s the real purpose behind it?

It’s simple: Every purchase helps someone who’s struggling. Not just anyone. Someone in our community: a neighbor, and or parent. An elder who thought they’d made it through life with dignity – only to find themselves choosing between groceries and incontinence supplies. That’s who we’re here for.

How Does It Work: That Circles Back

Here’s the truth: we don’t run the Care Shop to make a profit. We run it to make a difference. Every week, we give out free Daily Living Care Packages to individuals in our community who are financially challenged – people who’ve fallen through the cracks, not by choice, but by circumstances.

Each package includes but is not limited to:

·       Grooming kits (toothbrush, soap, comb, deodorant), etc.

·       Incontinence supplies (briefs, wipes, skin protection), etc.

Sometimes, a little extra sock, lotion, a handwritten note aren’t just items, they’re dignity, and comfort. They’re message: “You’re not forgotten.”

The money from every Care Shop purchase helps us provide these packages – no questions asked, no shame, no barriers.

Bodies Changes. Life Happens. Needing help Doesn’t Make You Less

You wouldn’t judge someone for using a walker. Why shame someone for needing incontinence care? Yet many do – especially those with no money to buy supplies in private. They go without, suffer, and feel ashamed. That’s why we give these supplies freely. Not as charity, as care, and as friendship. Standing beside someone and saying, “You’ll still be whole. You’re still worthy.”

You Can Be The Reason Someone Feels Seen

We can’t do this without you. Every time you buy from the Care Shop – whether it’s a pack of briefs, a grooming kit, or a bundle for a loved one – you’re doing more than shopping. When you help us give that same care to someone who can’t afford it, you’re not just a customer, you’re a supporter. A quiet hero!

When you visit our Care Shop, know this: in a world that often feels cold, that good deed of kindness is everything.

Conclusion:

The Care Shop isn’t just a store. It’s a circle of care. You give. We give. Someone in need receives – with dignity, compassion, and no shame.

When you visit our Care Shop, know this:

You’re not just buying supplies; you’re helping someone else keep theirs. This is how compassion moves – not in words, but in wipes, in briefs, in quiet acts that hold.
